How We Choose Leather

The leathers used across our range are selected with the same principles in mind.
Each belt reflects the characteristics of the hide from which it is cut.

Integrity

We collaborate with the finest tanneries, each skin traceable to its origin.

Heritage

Centuries of tradition and craft proven to produce the very best for the job.

Character

Leathers that are durable and patina with age to develop a unique beauty of their own.

Standard

Every belt is made to the same standard, using processes refined over decades.

Full-Grain Leather Only

We use only full-grain leather. This means the natural surface of the hide is left intact,
preserving its strength and allowing it to develop character over time.
No correction, coating, or surface embossing. Only the top grade is selected for least imperfections.

Vegetable and Oak Bark Tanned

From six to twelve months, it is a slow process that relies on natural tannins derived
from bark and plant matter. It produces a leather that ages gradually,
deepens in color, and responds visibly to use.

Patina Over Time

With regular wear, our leathers darken, soften, and gain depth.
This process cannot be rushed or replicated artificially.

"We select leather for what it becomes,
not just how it looks on day one."
