Belt length is measured from the inside edge of the buckle to the centre hole, which provides the most balanced fit.
Can I request extra or fewer holes?
Yes. You’re welcome to request additional or fewer holes when ordering, which can be helpful if you expect weight changes or prefer a specific fit.
MATERIALS RELATED FAQ's ⬇️
What type of leather do you use?
All Skive & Stitch belts are made from full-grain, vegetable-tanned leather sourced from established European tanneries.
These leathers are selected for their durability, structure, and ability to age naturally.
Why does the leather vary in color or texture?
Natural leather is not uniform. Variations in grain, tone, and markings are part of the material’s character and a sign of minimal processing.
No two belts will age in exactly the same way.
Where is the leather sourced?
Our leathers are sourced primarily from France and England, from tanneries with long-standing reputations for quality and consistency.
CARE RELATED FAQ's ⬇️
How should I care for my belt?
Leather requires only simple care.
- Wipe clean with a soft, dry cloth
- Apply a neutral leather polish occasionally
- Buff gently after a few minutes
Over time, the belt will soften and develop a natural patina.
How often should I polish my belt?
This depends on wear. As a general guide, light polishing every few months is sufficient for regularly worn belts.
What if my belt gets wet?
Allow the belt to dry naturally at room temperature.
Avoid direct heat. Once dry, a small amount of polish can help restore the surface.
Will the belt stretch over time?
Like all full-grain leather, the belt will relax slightly with wear. This is normal and part of the ageing process, not a defect.
